2012

IB Primary Years Program was introduced

Abacus moved from offering the UK Foundation Stage curriculum to being an IB World school which is consistent with our ESF Primary Schools.

2013

Dual Language Program was introduced

Abacus opened a Bilingual stream in both K1 and K2 with both Putonghua and English taught in the classes by an English and Chinese teacher.

2016

Classroom Renovation

The classrooms were renovated to create more Reggio inspired neutral and flexible spaces.

2018

New uniforms are introduced

This year we transitioned from the old blue uniforms to the new ESF red logos and uniforms.

2018

Typhoon Mangkhut damage

Typhoon Mangkhut was a huge typhoon which hit Hong Kong in 2018. Many schools closed for 2 days but Abacus suffered some significant damage and was closed for a week.
