Medical & Health Matters
At Abacus all our staff have up-to-date first aid training and we have a nominated first aid officer who is in charge of making sure the first aid equipment is well stocked and in date.
Children are encouraged to stay away from school if they have any illnesses and staff will call parents and send children home if they have symptoms of fever or illness. We follow the HK Centre for Health Protection Guidelines and meet the Education Bureau health standards.
For some children with medical needs such as epilepsy, asthma and allergies we meet with parents and develop a special medical emergency care plan to ensure children are as safe as possible and we are ready to meet their medical needs if a problem arises.
